The Vondrak Race is perhaps one of the most puzzling aspects of the entire Galaxy. When mankind started colonizing space, it often found relics of a seemingly very old civilization, dating back from at least 100000 years. The relics, despite being found on different planets even distant several MegaParsecs, showed common characteristics and even the same language.
The race, whose real name is currently unclear, is called “Vondrak” based on the few successful attempts to translate their complex language, left no accessible representation of themselves so it’s impossible to have a general idea of their aspect, not to mention culture or technology. Their language, given the scarcity of non-technical material, is extremely hard to decipher, so only a handful of sentences have been completely understood.
The fate of the race is another enigma. Extensive dating and researching has shown that the Vondrak simply disappeared at the peak of their influence: there are no traces of decay, catastrophes, or anything that can justify such a sudden event. Some of the partially translated documents seems to indicate “a vast plan” in preparation of something, but the translation is still being debate, so no concrete proof exists.
One of the most prominent planets of the Vondrak civilization is Aldur VII, or Isosalaa, though its poor position inside the current trade routes and its relative politcal instability makes it a less than viable option to study the mistery of the Vondrak race.
