Mr. Richardson is the perfect example of a wasted opportunity. Since he was a child he showed great intelligence and mechanical ability, a rarity in post-Fall humans. At the age of 16 he was already able to decipher some of the old alien writings. Naturally, this interested Webbergast, so he was supposed to complete his training at one of the recently built facilities. However, two months later, after discovering a large underground laboratory during the reclaiming of the land, he fled in terror and refused to return to the base. He became a drink addict, and started to wander around the Border. Despite reports telling that he has partnered with Dr. Sears, no evidence has been found, so we can conclude that he hardly represents a threat to the organization.
